Michael's first career was in business, combining, building contracting and a Care Home Business. He changed careers in the mid 80s while retaining an interest in a care home business. His continuing business background enables him to ensure that his service responds to your business needs and priorities.
Qualifying in 1988, Michael became a partner in a Stratford upon Avon firm in 1990, moved to Coventry firm R J Kelley and Co in 1992, becoming a partner in 1996 where he developed and headed a thriving civil litigation department with teams dealing with commercial litigation, civil litigation personal injury clinical negligence and employment law.In due course the firm merged in 2003 to become the Legal 500 firm Alsters Kelley.
He remained the head of department, personally having a caseload of commercial disputes and professional negligence claims. Michael is able to use his extensive experience in dispute resolution combined with his understanding of business needs and priorities gained from his direct personal business to ensure that his approach to disputes is business focused.
