Sinden Janet
They say that moving can be one of the most traumatic experiences a person has to deal with. It is therefore very important to engage a firm of solicitors who you can trust to manage your sale or purchase with professional efficiency but who are also approachable and friendly. We deal with all aspects of residential and commercial conveyancing including freehold sales and purchases, leasehold sales and purchases, lease extensions, re-mortgages and transfers of equity.

We also deal with development property including new build purchases and plot sales. Established in 1993 the staff at Janet Sinden & Co have been looking after the needs of our clients not only in the Hastings and Rother areas but also many other parts of the country. We offer a friendly and professional service where we endeavour to put our clients first.

They say that moving can be one of the most traumatic experiences a person has to deal with.
It is therefore very important to engage a firm of solicitors who you can trust to manage your sale or purchase with professional efficiency but who are also approachable and friendly.
We deal with all aspects of residential conveyancing including freehold sales and purchases, leasehold sales and purchases, lease extensions, re-mortgages and transfers of equity.
We also carry out more complex transactions including where the property is not registered at the Land Registry.
Although it is not something that people generally like to think about, have you ever considered what would happen if you lost physical or mental capacity or were no longer able to look after you own affairs?
A Lasting Power of Attorney is a legal document that allows you to appoint one or more people (e.g. a family member and/or friends) as your attorneys to make decisions on your behalf if you can no longer do so.
They can be appointed to help with financial decisions and also health and welfare decisions.
In most instances we will be able to give you a fixed price for the work you wish us to undertake.
Usually we will tell you at the start and will confirm the price to you in writing.
We will also tell you when this amount must be paid which will depend on the kind of work we are doing.
For example, in conveyancing work we will require you to pay our fees before completion and in the case of a Will we will expect our fees to be paid before the Will is signed.
Where we are unable to offer you a fixed price for the work you wish us to carry out, we will tell you the hourly rate of the solicitor who will be carrying out the work on your behalf and, if possible, give you an estimate of the likely overall cost at the outset of the matter.
