Services
Hobbs Law was set up in 2011 by husband-and-wife team Mike and Louise Hobbs.
Mike and Louise met at Law School and even back then, each knew the areas of law that they had a desire and passion to practise.
After graduating Mike worked his way up the ranks of various property departments, became head of a property team in a mid-sized firm and acted as a consultant to various local authorities and commercial law practices.
He joined a regional corporate law firm as a senior commercial solicitor working as part of a team on large corporate projects and then acted as consultant solicitor heading up the commercial department of a Chichester firm.
Writing a will is a very important and very personal thing to do.
For some, it can be a daunting task and that's why we're happy to come to your home - to help make it as easy as possible for you.
Ours is a comprehensive service, so you can feel reassured that every aspect of your will is taken care of.
It may be that you need to appoint a guardian for your young children, or you have concerns about who can make a claim on your estate if you don't include them.
You may need advice about your choice of executor, or your funeral wishes.
Starting up a small business or developing one can be challenging enough without having to tackle the legal side single handed.
Mike has worked with new and growing businesses over many years and recognises where words of advice and reassurance can be invaluable.
He has built up a wide range of contacts with commercial surveyors, finance brokers and accountants, so your venture doesn't have to be such a minefield.
You may have built up your business from scratch and are looking to sell it on or you may be thinking about buying an existing business - Mike can assist in all of your business transfer matters.
We generally offer fixed fees for our Wills, but occasionally your circumstances may be more complex.
We will advise you of any additional fees for more complex matters, at the initial instruction stage.
