The founding partners of Gullands, John and Douglas Gulland, first began practising in Maidstone in 1947 after acquiring an existing firm of solicitors and at this time Maidstone had a thriving livestock and deadstock market, along with a brewery and several paper mills.
Gulland & Gulland - as it was known back then - represented and acted on behalf of local businesses, surrounding farms and the wider agricultural community.
Over a century later, Gullands continues this work with Paul Burbidge, Head of the Commercial Department, and Blair Gulland, Chairman, both dedicating a large majority of their time to farming and agricultural clients.
