I qualified as a Solicitor in 1980 having gained a BA Hons in Legal Studies from Trent Polytechnic (now Nottingham Trent University). I worked with Solicitors in Ilkeston, Eastwood, Mansfield and Derby before establishing my own Practice in 1988. I specialise in Wills, Probate, Residential Conveyancing and Lasting Powers of Attorney. I value my business relationship with all clients.

As I have always lived and worked locally my business has grown through valuable links with professional institutions and recommendation. I aim to offer a personal, friendly and at all times professional service in dealing with your affairs. Many clients have been with me for some considerable time and now regard me as their family Solicitor.
Services
Will preparation - a preliminary Will Questionnaire can be provided as a guide, or you may prefer an initial appointment to talk about your requirements.
It is wise to review your Will from time to time, particularly if your personal circumstances change e.g.
Making changes to an existing Will, either by making a new Will or a Codicil.
Changes should not be written on an original Will and need to be implemented in a new Will or a Codicil.
Your Will will be revoked by marriage/registration of civil partnership unless made specifically in contemplation of such marriage/civil partnership.
I will keep you informed of progress made during the course of the transaction, communicate in plain language and explain the legal work that may be required.
My legal fees cover the work required to complete your sale (including Mortgage redemption if applicable) or purchase (including payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax** and registration at the Land Registry).
4-9 weeks on average depending on a number of factors e.g. the number of parties in the chain or a Purchaser in the chain requiring a Mortgage.
