Services
Based in Adelaide Street, Fleetwood, Addies Solicitors was founded in 1881 by Robert Forrester Addie.
He purchased a solicitors' practice from the executors of John Bond, who had founded it 20 years earlier.
In 1907, roughly the same time he became Recorder of Salford County Court, his sons Douglas and Clive qualified as solicitors and took over the firm.
Upon their deaths, Douglas's son, Robert, and Mr. R Preston took over the running of the firm.
The firm was subsequently bought from the Forrester Addie estate by Henry Melling, an assistant solicitor with the law firm.

At Addies Solicitors we can offer support through what is inevitably a difficult period following a bereavement.
We approach things practically from the outset and work with the Executors and family members to administer the estate efficiently and cost effectively.
A Grant of Probate is a court-issued document which legally authorises the executors of a will to collect in the assets of the estate.
When the deceased did not leave a will, the rules of intestacy apply and the Grant by the Court is then known as a Grant of Letters of Administration.
