Glaisyers Solicitors
Originally Glaisyers Solicitors of Tamworth was opened as a Branch office in 1979 by Ken Hope for the firm of Glaisyers Solicitors based in Birmingham. In 1990 we severed ties with them and became an independent firm, although we retained the name which had strong local recognition. Since then we have gone from strength to strength and have forged an enviable reputation as a widely known and respected firm in Tamworth and the wider area.

We are proud of the service that we provide and believe that you will find us to be courteous, professional and efficient.

Paul was born in Bristol before moving to Yorkshire where he was educated at Hymers College.
He graduated with an Honours Degree in Law from Birmingham University and joined Glaisyers Solicitors in Birmingham as an Articled Clerk in 1988.
When the Tamworth Branch severed its ties Paul stayed on with the newly independent practice, qualifying in 1991.
He became a Partner in 1998 and took over as Senior Partner in 2006 when Ken Hope retired.
A big thank you for getting me through a great big hurdle and although it took a while for things to settle myself and my children are now financially sorted and about to enjoy a new home.
Our Family Department is headed by Paul Brinkley who has been involved in family work for 23 years, including 22 years as a qualified solicitor.
In that time he has tried to develop a sympathetic approach to clients and their problems at what can be a most difficult time.
As a Firm we believe in trying to simplify legal questions and issues especially at a time when clients may find family problems most trying and difficult.
By applying a firm and fair approach to family cases, whether Divorce, Cohabitation, Financial or Children's Issues, it is our belief that this delivers the best chance for clients to resolve difficulties more easily, however complicated they may first seem.
At Glaisyers we recognise that moving home can be one of the most stressful experiences in your life.
To that end we do our best to ensure that the process runs as smoothly as possible and that you are kept up-to-date and informed on the progress of your transaction.
We are also of the opinion that because of the importance of the transaction to you we should ensure that the level of service you receive is of the highest standard.
As a result although our costs are competitive they may not be the cheapest, but we are certain that you will not regret instructing us.
Our pricing depends on the price of the property and the complexity of the matter.
For example Leasehold property is a lot more complicated than freehold property and subsequently takes a lot longer to deal with.
This is why it is important that we give you an individual cost estimate at the start of the transaction, taking into account the important features of your purchase.
We will always advise you immediately about any complications and discuss the potential impact on prices before we incur any additional charges.
For many people making a Will is something that can be put off to a later date.
It is, however, essential that everyone does make a Will to ensure that their property and possessions are dealt with as they would wish and not under the Intestacy Rules, which can of course have serious and unwanted consequences.
We are also able to provide advice to Executors and Administrators in dealing with the administration of an Estate, including preparing the tax returns and papers for the application to the Probate Registry.
