Beechwood solicitors was born 8 years ago by founder Nicola Stapleton. With a desire to provide a personal service, build relations, and fix fees, we felt the only way forward was to create a new firm, created quite unlike the usual traditional firms in Oxford. The concept took off, and to date we have 2 offices based in Eynsham and Kidlington. We have a work ethos quite different to most law firms.
We aim to provide a personal service at a fair price, and we want you to come back and use us time again. We don't time record, we don't charge by the clock, working on fixed fees wherever we can. We come to you where possible, speak plain English, and answer the phone! We try to learn from you and work with you. The team combines expert technical skills with a practical understanding of clients' business requirements and ambi.
There are times when you need to protect the assets you've built up for your family over years of hard work.

Lease Extensions or Collectively buying with others?
Should I extend my lease?
How much will it cost?
What is the process?
Most lenders insist that a term of at least 35 years must exist on a lease in addition to the required mortgage term.
Therefore, if a borrower requests a 25 year mortgage term the remaining lease term must be at least 60 years.
If the remaining lease term is shorter, the lease will need to be extended to make the property mortgageable.
The process of extending a lease can also add significant value to a property.
