David Major established the firm in Guildford in 1994, having previously been in practice in Surrey and London. Having commenced as Major & Co, we have expanded over the years and moved to our present building in Quarry Street in 2000. We incorporated as Majorlaw Ltd in 2014. In our capacity as solicitors, we are regularly asked to certify a photocopy of an original document as the true copy of the original.
We provide a certification service for a minimum fee of 75 depending on the number of documents to be certified.
We can offer oaths, affidavits and statutory declarations swearing or affirm services for a fixed fee of 5 per oath, affidavit or statutory declaration plus an additional 2 per exhibit.
Some organisations such as banks will not accept certified copies of original documents and may require the original document or for it to be notarised.
