Services
The WMC family was established in 1988 by our now retired Founding Partners, Christine Campbell and Jane Macdougall.
The firm has gone from strength to strength in this time and we are proud of the reputation we have established with clients and other professionals.
We are the "Firm that Cares" and that is true in every sense of the word.
We care about our clients, our business, and we care about our staff.
Our staff are what makes WMC Legal special.
By working together, each member of staff ensures our clients are given the best quality service.
Sadly, family life isn't always smooth sailing and sometimes family disagreements can become very difficult and hard to manage.
At WMC Legal, our aim is to relieve the stress that family troubles can cause.
With a sensitive but determined approach, our family law team will fight for a fair and comfortable future for your family.
Our Family Law Solicitors work carefully through complex issues that can follow a separation, including issues about contact (spend time with), residence (live with), parental responsibility, divorce and finances.
Regrettably, some parents and family members may find themselves in dispute with Social Services about the way in which they are looking after their children.
In some cases, Social Services may even want to take children into Local Authority care, a distressing situation for any parent or carer.
If Social Services are concerned about a child's welfare, it must look closely at that child's situation and family life.
This involvement may include Child Protection Meetings, Meetings Before Proceedings or Proceedings at Court.
We continually monitor our feedback to ensure we are giving the best possible service to all our clients.
Fortunately, the occasions on which clients feel the need to complain are rare, but nonetheless we have a procedure to ensure any comment of dissatisfaction is dealt with and resolved.
If you become unhappy about our handling of your matter, it may be helpful to contact the person who is working on your case to discuss your concerns and we will do our best to resolve any issues.
Or if you would prefer, our Practice Manager, Sammy Metcalf, would be happy to speak with you.
WMC Legal recognise that different people can have different financial resources and that's exactly why we endeavour to provide you with as many funding options as possible, including Legal Aid.
We are open about our cost structure and take pride in offering quality legal services, irrespective of whether you are paying in full or eligible for Legal Aid.
Our ethos has, and always will be, to ensure that everyone has access to high quality legal advice regardless of their financial resources, so please contact us if you are in need of legal help but are worried about the cost.
