We offer legal and mediation services to (i) clients involved with the construction sector, (ii) clients who purchase, sell or rent freehold or leasehold commercial or residential property, and (iii) clients involved in family proceedings. We handle contractual negotiations and disputes at a technical and interpersonal level to get a good commercial deal for our clients.

We know that despite the large prices of many contracts, margins are tight. We have experience of contract negotiations and disputes involving a range of public bodies, including the UK and Dubai Governments, regional development authorities and local authorities. Our Principal Peter Webster and Consultants Anna Rabin, Kate Gould and Courtenay Barklem were admitted as solicitors in 2000 or earlier.

Courtenay has since been called to the bar, and Polly Barklem joined us in 2020. Each has worked in the London legal world as a specialist lawyer. Our collective experience includes spells as directors, partners, and heads of firms, departments and teams.
Services
Like the wisest and the most assertive of the nine Muses, we aim to give our clients a beautiful voice, and empower them to set out clearly and compellingly the deal they want.
Thea (the A) is also the beginning.
In the new courtroom at the Supreme Court in London, the last letter of the Greek alphabet, omega (O), is displayed to symbolise finality.
We know that our clients generally want the deal to be done sooner rather than later, without lengthy and costly legal process, and that is what we aim to deliver.
The Construction Industry uses many standard sets of terms and conditions in its contracts.
If you are in a position to decide upon the form of your contract, we can help you choose the right one for you, and identify potential amendments which will pass on any contractual risks that may be best managed by others.
If a form of contract with a set of amendments has been proposed to you by one of your contracting partners, then we can review this contract with you, and help you identify areas of risk which could potentially be difficult for you to manage.
