Services
Emery Halil and Brown (EHB) was founded in 2002 by partners Philip Emery, Canel Halil and Michael Michael.
The aim of the founding Partners was to establish a specialised criminal law defence practice that would be recognised as providing a highly experienced and professional service.
The Partners have between them over 50 years of criminal law experience.
They are ably supported by Assistant Solicitors, Higher Court Advocates, in house Counsel and support staff who have been handpicked to ensure that the firm ethos of integrity and professionalism is maintained and the quality of service is exceptional.
If you are travelling by car then we are outside of the congestion zone and there are metered parking spaces available on surrounding streets.
The Kent office is located on the Davis Estate, Chatham (near Toys r us / Homebase retail park).
The office is serviced by the 101 bus.
If you would like to see one of our solicitors and the travel is difficult our solicitors attend Medway and Maidstone Magistrates courts on a daily basis and appointments can be arranged there.
As a firm holding a criminal franchise we are able to undertake publicly funded work (Legal Aid Work).
Your entitlement to Legal Aid will firstly be dependent on which stage the proceedings (against you) have reached and then may be subjected to interests of justice and means testing.
We have outlined what this means below.
We can assure you that every avenue will be explored to try and secure you public funding, if you are NOT eligible for public funding then we can provide a privately funded service at a highly competitive rate.
