Probate is the process of dealing with the estate of someone who has recently died.
If this person has drafted a will, an 'Executor' will be named - this is the person with responsibility for overseeing the distribution of their estate.
As a law firm that has spent many years advising families in Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, and surrounding areas, we are committed to advising clients on estate disputes in a calm, sensible manner.
Wherever possible, we use alternative dispute resolution methods, such as negotiation and mediation to reach an agreement between parties, thereby avoiding the cost and stress of attending court.
If the will is valid, it may still be possible to challenge it, if there is a strong reason to believe that it does not make 'reasonable financial provision' for dependants (see below).

Charlotte and the team were fantastic, so quick to respond and extremely helpful. Other parties in the chain also commented to me how quickly they got responses from our solicitors, such a refreshing change during what can be a stressful time!
Fully recommended!

My wife and I needed wills drawing up and Alex made the whole experience easier then I thought it would be. Because of lockdown there was no face to face meeting until the wills had to be signed. Altogether a very professional service and I would thoroughly recommend them.

When we decided to sell our house we also needed new wills to be completed complicated by overseas issues and having read their positive reviews contacted Solomons Solicitors.
Alexandra Livesey handled our new wills and we cannot praise her enough, she was totally professional, friendly and helpful.
Everyone at Solomons from the receptionist to the solicitors is just so helpful and friendly and puts you so totally at ease that dealing with them is a pleasure
