P 4 B Law
P4B Law was established with one goal and that was to be the best law firm in South Wales and the South West specialising solely in employment law. There was a gap for this type of niche practice in the South West and Wales in 2006, and we came along and filled that gap. Since then we have acquired more and more clients, who are all diverse in their business make up.

We act for many industry types and sizes of business too. We know that it is difficult to decide which law firm to use, as most of them are similar in their approach and in their skill set. However, we believe that we set ourselves apart from these other law firms for a number of reasons. By using technology in our practice, we can keep our costs to a minimum and pass these cost savings onto you, our clients.

As cost is one of the most important drivers in business today, by implementing different fee structures and ways to engage our services, there is a way for everyone in business to be able to access excellent employment law advice when they need it.
Services
P4B Law Limited was formed in 2006 and initially traded under the name of Protocol 4 Business UK Ltd.
We are based at Treforest Industrial Estate (just off Junction 32 M4) and serve the South Wales and West of England region.
P4B Law was founded by an employment law barrister with the aim of creating a specialist employment law practice, with a particular focus on employer work.
P4B Law takes the view that the old saying of 'jack of all trades, master of none' is particularly relevant when it applies to the niche subject of employment law.
A transfer of undertakings (TUPE) applies in connection with either a business transfer such as where a business is sold or a service provision change for example where a service is outsourced or re-tendered to another contractor.
As an employer, there are many risks around a TUPE transfer including the position that a dismissal connected to a TUPE transfer is normally automatically unfair.
There are detailed considerations when either transferring out employees or receiving new employees under a TUPE provision.
P4B Law has extensive experience in preparing cases and conducting the advocacy in Employment Tribunals across the UK.
We regularly appear in employment tribunals for employers.
We offer a free 30 minute consultation with regards to any employment law tribunal claim defence.
At the end of this consultation we will be able to advise on the appropriate fee structure and projected costs.
Being advised by an experienced employment lawyer who understands the language and procedures of an employment tribunal can greatly improve your chances of success of defending a claim at an employment tribunal.
Employees who are considering bringing an Employment Tribunal Claim must first enter into Pre-Claim Conciliation with ACAS.
Whilst it is a process that individuals or employers can enter into themselves, professional representation at this stage indicates to the other party that you are taking matters seriously.
We can advise you, as part of the process, which areas of the claim have the most merit.
In addition we can advise you what level of compensation you ought to be asking for or settling for, if any.
An initial telephone consultation with one of our specialist employment lawyers, for up to 30 minutes.
A Settlement Agreement used to be called a Compromise Agreement and many employers still refer to it by this title.
It is a document which is legally binding between the employer and employee and can cover almost any kind of claim including discrimination, unfair dismissal and unpaid wages.
A Settlement Agreement is a document which sets out the compensation which will be paid to an employee in return for them signing away their employment rights.
