We are a diverse yet cohesive team with a broad range of legal experience.
We have strong local connections, a wealth of local knowledge and a passion for life in North Cornwall and all it has to offer.
As a result, our client base covers a range of industries including retail, food and drink, hotels/tourism, farming, green energy and construction.
We are well known for our quality residential conveyancing service and in recognition of this were appointed one of the first members of the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme.
We have a strong and committed team of conveyancers with a high level of expertise covering all aspects of residential property including leasehold properties and farmland.
We encourage you to contact us to discuss your specific requirements and we will provide you with a fee estimate - we believe that by discussing your individual sale or purchase needs we can provide a tailor-made competitive quote.
Our charges are based on our current hourly rate of 200.00 per hour plus VAT and we do not include any hidden charges such as photocopying or postage.
Chris was educated in Port Isaac and Camelford before completing his law degree at Manchester University and qualifying in 1980 having completed post graduate studies at the College of Law in Guildford.
He worked in Bodmin for 20 years before establishing his own practice in Boscastle in 1998.
With previous experience as a litigator, Chris now specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing and agricultural property law, wills and probate and general commercial work.
His litigation background continues to be useful in property related disputes.
There is nothing cheerful about thinking about death and making a will but we try our best to make the process as easy and understandable as possible.
There are significant financial benefits in having a will, particularly if you own property or have children.
It can also be easier for relatives if your wishes are known.
If you have not done so already, please do think about making a will or updating your existing will if your circumstances have changed.
The process of administering an estate when someone dies can be distressing and is often a lengthy procedure.
At Christopher Key we work closely with you to understand your commercial needs whether you are acquiring or disposing of commercial property or buying or selling a commercial business.
We have a large commercial leasing practice and have extensive experience working for Landlords and Tenants - we understand the benefits and pitfalls for both parties.
We endeavour to address issues before they arise and will work hard to meet critical deadlines ensuring your business requirements are met.
We work with open lines of communication and take a practical yet personal approach to achieve results.
