Services
We will provide an estimate of costs at the outset and submit regular interim invoices so that clients are fully aware of the costs incurred.
Anyone wishing to proceed with a claim should note that interest and compensation may take the debt into a higher banding, with a higher cost.
Simple debt recovery matters usually take 1-8 weeks from receipt of instructions from you to receipt of payment from the other side, depending on whether it is necessary to issue a claim.
This is on the basis that the other side pays promptly on receipt of Judgement in default.
There will be an additional charge for attending a Tribunal Hearing of 800 per day (excluding VAT).
Generally, we would allow 1-2 days depending on the complexity of your case.
Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as court fees.
We handle the payment of the disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process.
The stages set out above are an indication and if some of stages above are not required, the fee will be reduced.
You may wish to handle the claim yourself and only have our advice in relation to some of the stages.
Probate is the process of dealing with the estate of someone who has died - which generally means clearing their debts and distributing their assets in accordance with their will.
The term 'probate' refers to the obtaining of permission to deal with the estate.
Will involved in the estate and depending on the value of the estate, those in charge of the administration will need to apply to the court for a 'grant of probate' or a 'grant of letters of administration'.
Choosing our 'Grant Only' Service means that we will apply to court for the necessary grant for you, completing and submitting the required forms.
Our fees cover all the work required to complete the purchase of your new home, including dealing with registration at the Land Registry and dealing with the payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax (Stamp Duty) if the property is in England, or Land Transaction Tax (Land Tax) if the property you wish to buy is in Wales.
HM Land Registry fee 20 to 455 for a registered property depending on price and 40 to 910 for an unregistered property i.e.
Please note that the above fees are exclusive of any referral fees (if any) payable to third parties which depend entirely on the individual circumstances.
