David was later joined by Mark Pritchard in 1994 & then Theresa Clark in 1997 who both subsequently became partners. The partnership was then enhanced further by the very experienced Jayne Dodson. Their main function is to review the cases of compulsorily detained patients & decide whether or not such patients can be discharged.
The Mental Health Review Tribunal has the responsibility of hearing applications or references concerning people detained under the Mental Health Act.
The Tribunal members are appointed by the Department of Constitutional Affairs.
