At the police station legal advice is free of charge for everyone including the multi millionaires.
Legal aid is still available for Magistrates Court cases, subject to your means (total income less than 12,475 p.a) and how serious the case is, and for Crown Court cases where the main test is only your means (disposable income limit of 37,500).
If legal aid is not available we charge privately either by the hour or a fixed fee.

The hourly fees are in line with what a court would pay if we were appointed to cross examine complainants in a trial where the defendant had not secured his or her own Solicitor.
