Lindsay Solicitors was founded in 1994. We are a general court law firm, with most of our work being carried out in criminal law and family law. We have the qualifications and experience to advise or represent you in any court dealing with Scots law, whether your case is in the Justice of the Peace Court, the Sheriff Court, the High Court, the Court of Session or even the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom or the European Court.
We also carry out legal aid work if you are eligible for legal aid. Alternately, our monthly payment plans make legal fees more manageable for our private clients.

Services
Due to the growth in the practice, we made the move to a new purpose-designed office in 2014, so that we have the space and resources to continue to look after our clients in the way they have come to expect.
All of which means Lindsay Solicitors has easier access, new and improved communications equipment and infrastructure and enhanced IT facilities and links, while still retaining the prestigious Buccleuch Street address in our Grade 2 listed building in the heart of the Georgian architecture of the commercial centre of Dumfries.

The consequences for your life - and your finances - can be extreme.
You need someone who can guide you through the law covering your situation, and explain your options so that you can make the choices you have to make about your life.
It's never easy, but we can help you through it, and set you up to start off the rest of your life.
The rules are the same for all marriages and civil partnerships, so for clarity, we'll use the term "divorce" to cover both termination of a marriage and dissolution of a civil partnership, and the word "partner" to cover both spouses and civil partners.
