If not and if you are a relative or a dependant of the Deceased you may be entitled to make a claim.
Although in England and Wales a person can leave his Estate to whomever he chooses this is subject to the right to claim reasonable financial provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
