We opened as Paul Martin and Co Defence Solicitors in Romford, Essex in 2002 and have grown considerably as we now act for many clients outside our local area and are a "Local Practice with a National Profile" having handled many cases of national public interest as our case portfolio demonstrates.

Paul Martin began criminal defence work at Campion & Co. Solicitors in Walthamstow, East London in 1972.
He qualified in 1981 and, thereafter, continued to specialise solely in criminal defence work.
In 1984 he formed his own practice, Campion & Martin, working in Romford, Essex where he remained until 1997 when he was "headhunted" to join a team of prominent South London criminal defece lawyers where he remained for a 5 year period.
In 2002 he returned to running his own practice as Paul Martin & Co. Solicitors and, since that time, has undertaken many high profile cases to include John "Goldfinger" Palmer, Nicholas Van Hoogstraten and Kenneth Noye.
He qualified in 1981 and, thereafter, continued to specialise solely in criminal defence work.

A 23million VAT fraud conducted by HMRC in which CC was the principal defendant and organiser.
The fraud was conducted in the South and North of England.
PS was charged in his capacity as the former CEO of Portsmouth City Football Club with two counts of Tax Evasion relating to payments made to two former players of the Club.
Represented two defendants charged with conspiracy to evade Customs and Excise Duty payable on a series of cigarette importations spanning a 2 year period.
Represented two defendants charged with conspiracy to evade Customs and Excise duty payable on the importation of container loads of cigarettes and alcohol.
